WANDER FOR CREATORS

Your content.
Their next
adventure.

Turn your content into trips your followers can explore, save and make their own.

Apply to become a creator

Anyone can apply. Approval in as little as 30 minutes.

Scroll to see how it works

Guide publishing requires creator approval. Map animation generation is in a limited pilot.

01 / BRING YOUR CONTENT

You’ve already done the exploring.

Connect an eligible Instagram account, choose posts from your handle, or paste a video or blog link. Start with the stories you’ve already made.

  • Instagram, YouTube, videos and blog posts
  • Choose the content you want to use
  • No destination map required
Try it with a content link

02 / BUILD YOUR GUIDE WITH AI

Your content becomes a guide. Your knowledge makes it yours.

AI extracts places and recommendations from your content. Add the details that didn’t make the edit: what to order, when to arrive, where to park. Organize the stops, review everything, and package it into a guide.

  • Keep your recommendations together
  • Add insider tips and practical details
  • Preview and approve before publishing

Guide creation and publishing unlock with an approved creator profile.

03 / BRING THE GUIDE TO LIFE

Make them feel the journey.

Use your guide’s places and routes in Map Animation Studio. Describe the look you want and create a 3D map flyover that gives your audience a reason to go.

  • 3D terrain, satellite or standard maps
  • Photo markers, route styles and moving travelers
  • Refine the video in a conversation
Explore the animation library

Animation generation is in early access. Videos are exported MP4s; your guide is interactive.

04 / POST THE STORY

A video that inspires. A link that takes them there.

Download your map video for a reel, post or website. Pair it with your guide link so the next “where was that?” already has an answer.

  • Vertical, square and widescreen videos
  • Add the guide link to your post or bio
  • Bring your guides together on your creator page

05 / OPEN IT ON THEIR PHONE

From your post to a trip they can use.

Your followers tap the link and open your public trip. They see the map, the stops and your advice before deciding to save it.

  • Open the trip from a post, message or bio
  • Explore your places and public tips
  • See who created the trip
Explore a real Wander guide

06 / SAVE IT TO MY TRIPS

Your itinerary. Their own copy.

They sign in and save your published trip to My Trips. The stops and tips come with it, along with credit and a link back to your original.

  • Save the published itinerary
  • Keep its stop order and public tips
  • Keep your name connected to the trip

07 / MAKE ROOM FOR THEIR PLANS

You inspire the trip. They make it theirs.

They can add a place, adjust their plans and write private notes. Their copy belongs to them; your published trip stays unchanged.

  • Add their own places and private notes
  • Keep your recommendations close
  • Return to your original whenever they want

COMING LATER / PAID GUIDES

We’re building toward paid guides, so you can package your knowledge into something your audience can buy.

For now, share free guides. Paid checkout and creator payouts are not available yet.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before your
next adventure.

Do I need a destination map?

No. You can start a guide from your own content or saved places. Map Animation Studio also supports personal projects from GPX, GeoJSON, drawn routes, coordinates, places and addresses. You can use content from an existing Wander map, too.

Who can apply, and how long does approval take?

Anyone can apply—no invitation needed. Sign in or create a Wander account, then submit your creator application. Approval can happen in as little as 30 minutes; review times may vary. Build a trip in My Trips while you wait, then publish once approved. Animation generation remains a separate, limited pilot.

How does AI Guide Studio work?

Studio helps you turn imported places or a saved trip into a guide. It asks about your recommendations, organizes your answers, and highlights missing details. You can review and edit the guide before publishing. Text input is supported, with voice input where enabled.

Can I connect my Instagram account?

Creator Studio includes an Instagram connection for importing recent posts from eligible accounts. You can also start with a public content link, or choose posts from an Instagram or YouTube handle. Those options are separate from connecting your account.

Can I sell my guides?

Paid guides are planned. Selling guides and receiving payouts aren’t available yet. For now, you can share free guides with your audience.

Are these real animations?

Yes. These are renders made with Wander’s map engine. Most use real Wander destination data; the Golden Gate Park clip demonstrates an illustrative GPX track. Prompts help you create a similar look with your own places, rather than copying the example exactly.

What can I change in an animation?

Map styles, 3D terrain, pins and photo markers, line colors and patterns, camera moves and captions. Travelers include a GPS dot, walking person, bike, car, bus and plane, with arcing flight routes. Available options are reported by the studio’s tools.

Which AI assistants can I use?

For map animations, use an assistant that supports Wander’s remote MCP connection. The library prompts include the connection address and setup guidance. Availability depends on your assistant and plan; confirm Wander’s tools are connected before starting. Guide publishing currently happens in Creator Studio.

Can I use the videos on social media and my website?

The studio exports silent, 5–30-second MP4s in vertical, square, portrait-feed and widescreen formats. A finished video can also have a public website player. Review the result and keep the map and imagery attribution visible when sharing.
